Waranty Terms

Last updated: 09.01.2026

1. Overview

These Warranty Terms explain the workmanship warranty provided by PaxBase and how it interacts with any manufacturer product warranties (such as IKEA PAX warranties).

2. Workmanship Warranty (1-year)

2.1 PaxBase warrants that installation work carried out by us will be free from defects in workmanship for 12 monthsfrom the date of completion.

2.2 This warranty covers issues that arise directly from faults in our installation, such as:

  • misaligned doors or panels caused by fitting

  • loose fixings or poorly secured components

  • other defects directly attributable to our workmanship.

3. Manufacturer Product Warranty (e.g. IKEA PAX – 10 years)

3.1 Many components we install (such as IKEA PAX system parts) are covered by the manufacturer’s own product warranty. For example, IKEA offers a 10-year limited warranty on many PAX wardrobe components, subject to its terms.

3.2 These warranties are separate from our workmanship warranty and are provided by the manufacturer, not by PaxBase.

3.3 You may be required to retain proof of purchase and comply with the manufacturer’s care instructions and terms.

4. Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse or accidents;

  • normal wear and tear;

  • changes due to humidity, temperature or building movement;

  • modifications or repairs carried out by anyone other than PaxBase (unless agreed);

  • cosmetic imperfections that do not affect function (minor marks, small colour variations);

  • issues arising from structural problems in the property (e.g. subsidence, water ingress).

5. Claiming under the Workmanship Warranty

To raise a workmanship warranty claim:

  1. Email sales@paxbase.co.uk with details of the issue.

  2. Include photos and your project details (name, address, installation date).

  3. We will review and respond within 5 working days to agree next steps.

If the issue is covered by this warranty, we will arrange a repair or other appropriate remedy within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Interaction with Consumer Rights

Your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, are not affected by this warranty.

7. Limitation

This warranty is provided to the original customer and is not automatically transferable to subsequent owners of the property.
