  • loft boarding and eaves storage solutions

  • full bedroom refits

  • personalised walk-in wardrobes

  • flat pack furniture assembly and related services.

Details of each service are described on the relevant service pages.

3. Eligibility and Use of the Website

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any associated systems.

4. Quotes, Estimates and Acceptance

4.1 Any quotation or estimate we provide is based on the information available at the time (including measurements, photos and survey notes).

4.2 Quotes are not binding until:

  • you confirm acceptance in writing (email or message), and

  • any required deposit has been paid.

4.3 If, during the survey or installation, we discover structural issues, access constraints or changes in scope, we may need to revise the quote. We will inform you before proceeding with any additional work.

5. Pricing, Deposits and Payment Terms

5.1 Prices are stated in GBP (£) and include or exclude VAT as clearly indicated on the quote or invoice.

5.2 A non-refundable deposit (usually 25% of the project value) is typically required to secure your booking and enable us to order materials.

5.3 The remaining balance is payable in accordance with the schedule set out in your quote or invoice (for example, on or before the installation date).

5.4 Late payments may result in delays to delivery or installation. We reserve the right to withhold services or materials until payment is received in full.

6. Distance Contracts and Consumer Rights

Where you are a consumer (an individual acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business or profession) and our contract is concluded at a distance (online, email, phone), your rights are governed by UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

We will provide you with clear information about:

  • the total price of the services,

  • any additional charges,

  • your right to cancel where applicable,

  • how to exercise that right.

For bespoke, made-to-measure or installation services, your right to cancel may be limited once work has begun or materials have been ordered, as explained in our Refund & Payment Policy.

7. Surveys, Measurements and Client Responsibilities

7.1 We may carry out a free site survey or accept client-submitted measurements and photos.

7.2 You are responsible for:

  • providing accurate information and safe access to the property;

  • obtaining any necessary permissions (e.g. landlord consent, building management approval);

  • informing us of any known structural issues, hazards or restrictions.

7.3 We are not liable for issues arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you.

8. Delivery, Access and Installation

8.1 We will take reasonable steps to meet agreed timescales, but dates and times for delivery and installation are estimates and may be affected by supplier delays, access issues, adverse weather and other factors outside our reasonable control.

8.2 You must ensure that:

  • access routes are clear on the agreed date(s);

  • rooms are reasonably empty and safe for our team to work in;

  • electricity is available if needed for tools or lighting.

8.3 We reserve the right to charge for wasted visits, additional time or rescheduling if we cannot proceed due to access or safety issues.

9. Workmanship Warranty and Product Warranty

Our Workmanship Warranty and Product Warranty terms are set out in detail in our Warranty Terms. In summary:

  • PaxBase provides a 1-year workmanship warranty on installation work.

  • IKEA PAX components (and other manufacturer products used) are covered by the manufacturer’s 10-year limited product warranty, where applicable and subject to their terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence,

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or

  • any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

10.2 Subject to the above, PaxBase will not be liable for:

  • indirect, consequential or special losses,

  • loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data,

  • any loss arising from your failure to follow our advice or care instructions.

10.3 Our total liability in respect of any single claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant project.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on paxbase.com, including text, images, logos and layouts, is owned by PaxBase or used under licence. You may not reproduce or use our content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial viewing of the website.

12. Data Protection and Privacy

We will process personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Services or Terms

We may update services, pricing or these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you accept a quote will apply to that project. The latest version of our Terms & Conditions will always be available on paxbase.com.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
